Grips:

General:

At Option Golf service centre’s we offer a full range of grips to suit all our clients’ needs. Grips are the most overlooked component.

The average life span of a grip is around 6 months. It could be less for certain clubs as there are certain clubs which we use more often.  Once grips get too old golfers start to grip too tight and because the grip texture is different throughout the set, grip pressure consistency is almost impossible.

Most golfers do NOT have the correct grip size. So changing grips should not only be about getting the right material or color.  If your grips are too small, golfers tend to hook the ball, hold the club to tight and develop unwanted calluses. If your grips are too big, golfers tend to slice the ball due to the lake of rotation with the hands.
So before you just change your grips make sure you have the right material, size and weight.

Rubber grips Rubber grips are more for the golfer that is looking more for feel from a grip. If you tend to perspire (sweat) a lot these are not always recommended. If you prefer the softer feel a lot of discipline is required keeping your hand dry. At the same time nothing beats the soft feel of a rubber grip. These are some of our rubber grip selections:
Dual Durometer Rubber MYR40 Tour Velvet Rubber MYR25

 Feeltec Rubber MYR30

 DD2 Rubber MYR35
Cord grips Cord grips are more for the golfer looking for a grip that will slip less. They don’t have the soft feel of rubber. They do however make it easier to hold onto the club and last longer than rubber grips. These are some of our cord grip selections
 V55 Cord MYR35  Tour Velvet Cord MYR35

All weather grips All weather grips are for the golfer who needs the ultimate non slip grip. All weather grips are a little more like a wet weather tire. Some are a combination of a cord and rubber grip. They don’t always have the best feel but they are perfect for those who‘s grips always seems to slip.
